Changes for version 0.254 - 2026-10-15

  • Internal Changes
    • Separate Sockaddr field to PeerSockaddr and LocalSockaddr fields.
    • Do not set and use SocketCategory.
    • Remove duplicate TCP settings.
  • Requirement Changes
    • Require SPVM::Sys 0.583.
    • Require SPVM::File::Temp for tests.
  • New Features
    • Add IPv6 auto detection to IO::Socket::IP.
    • Support UPD non connect client socket.
  • Incompatible Changes
    • Remove Type detection from Proto in IO::Socket::IP.
    • Fix listen logic. If Listen option exists, call listen.
    • Set default listen backlog to SOMAXCONN if Listen option is zero or less.
    • Move set_default_tcp_settings and set_default_udp_settings from IO::Socket to IO::Socket::IP.
  • Bug Fix
    • Remove listen logic in UDP.
    • Call bind if Local is defined in IO::Socket::UNIX.
    • Call bind if LocalAddr or LocalPort is defined in IO::Socket::IP.
