        colouring.h now restores the CRT libc names (fprintf, stderr,
        abort, the allocators) when included inside a Perl XS translation
        unit on a PERL_IMPLICIT_SYS perl: XSUB.h remaps them to
        interpreter-context macros that need my_perl, and this header is
        plain C with no pTHX. Found via Litavis 0.04's Strawberry FAILs
        ("'my_perl' undeclared" in the default COLOURING_FATAL); the
        dist's own XS was unaffected because it defines COLOURING_FATAL
        as croak before including.

        Memory-safety fixes addressing CPAN-tester SEGVs on threaded
        and longdouble Perls (5.10–5.43) on Linux/OpenBSD.
